Changing Custody

Custody Modifications - The Nunley Law Group

Sometimes it becomes necessary to motion the court to change a custody arraignment. To be honest, changing a custody order, without the consent of the other parent, is no easy task. You must show what the courts refer to as "good cause" or a "change in circumstances" to even get your foot in the door. If you can establish one of those two things you must then convince the court that it would be in the best interest of the child(ren) to modify the custody order. It is not an impossible task, but it is never an easy one neither.

We have had multiple successes in modifying custody orders. We have fought vigorously for our clients in this area of the law where the situation has been dire and have done so unapologetically. We understand that there are not many things more stressful than trying to navigate custody and parenting time issues and are here to fight for you and your family.

You can always count on us to be honest with you about your case. If we believe, after considering the facts and circumstances surrounding your case, that a court would not grant you a change of custody, we will tell you. We will not advise you to move forward if we do not believe that you at least have a chance of being successful. However, if there is a way forward we will be by your side the whole way.
